Our Team

A family-run business, with years of owning, caring for, and loving horses, we are absolutely passionate about what we do and offer on this magnificent tip of the African continent. Each one of us try to bring our special knowledge and expertise into every trail, and we always feel that even though you may meet us as clients, you will leave as friends.

Sarah & Kos

Your hosts, guides and photographers! This couple have both been involved with horses from a young age, and besides the equine aspect, have been involved in and owned a diverse range of businesses throughout their lives…the only criteria being that they have passion for each and everything that they have done!

Their work and businesses over the years have included Sarah working for internationally renowned wildlife photographer, Anthony Bannister, as his personal assistant for a number of years, assisting with overland safari operators, Penduka Safaris (owned by the son of famous poacher-turned-conservationist, Bvekenya Barnard, immortalised by T.V. Bulpin in his book “The Ivory Trail”). Kos and Sarah have also operated their own overland safari business in Northern Zimbabwe, including Kariba and Mana Pools in the Zambezi Valley, doing slackpacking in Big 5 country. With the birth of their first-born, James, they went on to running restaurants, and then a riding school in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo, in the far north of South Africa. It was here that Kos could indulge his passion for astronomy, founding the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club (now renamed to the Southern Cape Astronomy Club), becoming the Outreach, and Observing Director of the Astronomical Society of the Southern Africa (ASSA), and winning many accolades for his contributions to astro-photography, observations and outreach. After a relocation of epic proportions (including the transport of sixteen of their equine companions), they relocated to Pearly Beach in 2017, to start their new adventure at the tip of the continent.

James & Christopher

Their two sons grew up on horseback, and naturally have been assisting with riding lessons and trails from a young age. James (25) has subsequently spread his wings, and is currently living in London, UK, and working all over Europe.

Christopher (17), assists with trails on weekends and over school holidays, and is the family’s aspirant young magician, wowing clients with his card tricks and sleight of hand.
