Frequently Asked Questions

If we cancel due to weather, you will either get a full refund, or an alternative trail date.  If you cancel, and we cannot accommodate you on another date (at our discretion), you will unfortunately forfeit your deposit.

No, our Premium Beach Trails are low tide dependant, so trail times vary from day to day.  Sundowner trails also depart at different times according to the season.

Some trails are suitable for all levels of riders, and novices are very welcome and encouraged to experience a beach ride with a possible swim in the ocean.  We specialize in hosting mixed ability groups, giving each rider the best experience for their level of riding.  It is crucial for your own safety to provide us with your correct riding level and ability.

Subject to the riding ability of our guests, we do allow trotting, cantering and even galloping.  We have a variety of horses to suit every rider.

We provide a riding helmet (must be worn).  You are welcome to bring your own, too.  As our horses are well schooled and have soft mouths, we discourage the use of riding gloves.

Long leggings or ski pants work well for ladies, and light comfortable long pants or tracksuit pants for gents.  Close fitting clothes are preferable to loose-flapping clothing.  Please do bring, or wear underneath, suitable swimwear on our Premium Beach Trail, where a swim with the horses is incorporated if the weather permits.  Please bear in mind, closed shoes like trainers or aqua shoes are essential, and a jacket or windbreaker is a good idea.

Yes, we swim throughout the year on our Premium Beach Trail.  For the safety and well-being of our horses and clients certain factors can influence whether we swim or not, including water & air temperatures, wind chill and swell.  We do our utmost to include a swim with the Premium Beach Trail.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking, balance of payment can be done with cash on arrival or via EFT prior to the trail day. Contact us for banking details.  Please note we do have card facilities, but not during loadshedding and no connectivity, this can be intermittent at times.

For the well being of our horses, our weight limit of 95kg is strictly adhered to.  Due to the duration of our trails, our minimum age is eight years old.  We have no maximum age limit, just a good level of fitness and agility.
